The part of the mouthpiece that creates the biggest difference between the voices is what we call the Deflector.
The different models and reed numbers can drastically change the sound of the instrument.
It was founded by Junior Barkley, creator and designer of Mouthpieces Barkley, in 2003 in São Paulo State - Brazil; Going through a long period of study, testing of various materials and improvement of production and luthery techniques. Barkley Mouthpieces then emerge, using high-tech raw materials and maintaining the traditions of hand finishing to make quality products.
Then a work and research process began, where studies on finishing hand techniques and materials resonance resulted in new compounds and mixtures for making raw materials, including BRENT and the Ecoline ebony line, material used exclusively by the company.
Born in a period where literature and information about Mouthpieces were scarce, effort and research are keywords for the constant development of the company, as the information keeps on advancing and there will always be new technologies to be explored. Showing that it's here to stay, the company's main mission is "Innovation and Tradition", innovating processes and raw materials, but without losing the passion of a skilled craftsman.

We produce our products using the latest technology, but the finishing touch is always finished by trained professionals. We continue to create new designs and materials so that every music experience is unique.
Implementing customer relationship policies Barkley is present promoting Workshops and TalkShows throughout Brazil, with partnerships and sponsorships of bands, orchestras and shows.
