ZÉ CANUTO

Born in Rio de Janeiro, he started studying music at the age of 16 at the Villa-Lobos music school, having graduated two years later in theory and perception.

At the age of 18 he won a alto saxophone from his father and began his studies with Idriss Boudrioua, a year later he already replaced him in some works such as television programs and with the singer and composer Marcos Valle.

In 1986 he joined Escola Rio Música and graduated in 1989 in Functional Harmony, studying with professor Sérgio Benevenuto. That same year he started his first professional tour working with the singer Emílio Santiago and since then he has been acting with several artists of Brazilian and international popular music as:
